SMSxPlus SMPP Client 
SMPP Client is available in different editions designed to meet different customer requirements. It is a great tool for enabling rapid development of interactive SMS applications and services. When SMPP Client receives an SMS message, it can be configured to dispatch that message to a script running on an HTTP server, to a local executable program, or local script or batch file. This provides a simple way to get received messages into an application, so that the application can perform custom processing on the message. The application can generate a simple reply back to the received message, or perform more advanced application specific logic.

SMSxPlus SMPP Server  SMSxPlus SMPP Server can relay messages submitted to
any outbound SMSC connection, which could be one or
more GSM modems and/or SMPP, UCP/EMI, CIMD2 or HTTP
SMSC connections. When an end user wants to use a
software product that has an existing SMPP
interface, but does not want to enter a commercial
arrangement with an SMPP based SMS provider. In this
scenario, SMSxPlus acts as a protocol converter
between SMPP and other types of SMSC connections.
Another scenario is when it is desirable to have
multiple applications share an existing SMPP
connection. Multiple SMPP applications can connect
to your SMSxPlus SMPP Server and share an upstream
SMPP connection.

USSD server exchanges USSD messages between the
mobile subscribers and the external applications
through GSM networks. By SMSxPlus USSD server
operators are able to provide balance enquiry,
voucher activation and other customer care services
